Kai's first bite of Thanksgiving Turkey.
Julian hamming it up. He's a mini jessie :)
Kai always looks like he's wondering what Julian's up to now...
Can't stop him now, he's all over the place!
Kai is a few steps behind Julian but he's catching up fast.
I haven't posted in a while, been a little busy. Here are a few pics of the boys. They are sure getting around well. They'll be walking any day now... Hayden helps my mom watch them a few days a week after school. He's sooo good with them. He's gonna be the best big cousin ever!

Snow Day !?!

Well well well, after a long lifetime of waiting, (ten years, 5 months and 25 days to be exact) Hayden finally got to make a snowman and snow angel in his own yard in Louisiana. Wow!!
When I woke up I was excited but we've had snow before. You can see it falling, but then it reaches the ground and wait, where'd it go? I've witnessed a few flakes land on something and stay there a few seconds before they melt, but this past thursday, December 11, 2008 we had a full on blizzard!! :)
Some of you anchorage folk might laugh at us, but it was exciting none the less. Here's visual proof.
Hayden thought it was the best thing in the world. His school would've been open except the power went out and they called a Snow Day!!

Never thought i'd see the day. The Snow Day in Louisiana.

Hayden finally gets to hold the babies!

Lisa and Jessie brought the boys to my mom's house yesterday and Hayden finally got to hold them. :) He was so excited!! They are so cute and growing so fast. Julian is about the size Hayden was when he was born! 8.7 lb and 23 in long! Kai is not far behind... So, here's some pics from the visit. Taken w/ hayden's camera and the setting was on outdoor i think so they're kinda yellowish. Oh well.

My very own place!

I have finally found a place to live!! After 3 long months of searching i found an apartment. Well, actually it's a "townhome" if that makes it sound better. It's fairly affordable and nice enough. Two stories, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Just enough room for us. Now the only problem is I have nothing to put in it. All of my things that i had in my old apartment have either been thrown out, given away or my mother is using them as kitchen counter top space. So, as a minimalist, i need a sofa, bed and kitchen table. I don't even care if it's empty, it's quiet!! No roommates, no dogs, no tablesaws outside my bedroom window. I'm so excited to move in this week!!! Anyway, i'll post some pics of the new place later after i'm really moved in....

Nic who?

I went to the hospital to see Lisa and the babies today and they are much cuter and younger looking in person. :) The pics from yesterday had them looking like little old wrinkled men. The swelling and bloating had gone down some from yesterday and they actually resembled babies today. Lisa is still swollen and bloated. She's still smiling though. These little guys are determined to get out of the nicu and go home with their mommy on saturday. They're both doing good and looking cleaner and less bloody than yesterday :)

We Have Babies!!

Julian and Kai Whiteman arrived earlier today via c-section and are both doing fine and so is mom. Julian was 5.11 and Kai was 4.6, both with hair, Julian's dark and Kai's reddish blondish. They're real cute! Hayden made them a birthday card today in spanish class. :)

Cousins

Hayden and I are anxiously awaiting his new cousins Julian and Kai who should be here around the first week of March. This will bring his grand total of cousins up to...a lot (counting seconds and once removeds) These will be his first "real" blood cousins. He's pretty excited. I look forward to babysitting, but with all the anxious grandparents lining up in front of me it looks like that might be when they're 2 or 3. Anywhoo, Lisa has been a real trooper. 60 something days in the hospital so far and about 2 1/2 weeks to go. She's on strike against hospital food. I don't blame her! Yuk!
We went to the aquarium and park to feed the birds a few weeks ago. It was fun, here's some pics.
